In terms of how dangerous it is, players do get injured. Concussions are a concern, so some players wear helmets to protect their head at least a little bit. Some injuries include hamstring, shoulder, knee, leg, foot, arm… anything, really. It’s a full-contact sport and there’s no padding or protective gear so players don’t have much protection. There are rules re tackling, like it has to be below the I JH New York T-Shirt and I will buy this shoulders and above the knees. That being said, it’s a great sport, and players can get through games without being injured. But there are increasingly more rules to protect players from being seriously injured, and to keep the game relatively ‘safe’.
Ok, kidding aside, MMA pretty much produces severe injuries in every fight (concussions count, don’t they?). Often to both fighters. US football produces lots of severe injuries, as well (probably more considering the I JH New York T-Shirt and I will buy this number of athletes involved, though the percentage is probably lower). Off the top of my head, boxing, fighting, and other martial sports are the most likely to produce the highest percentage of injuries, and for obvious reasons. And if not the rider, then the “rodeo clown” that distracts the bull so the medics can rescue the thrown rider….. I remember once at friendly game Georgian rugby player broke his finger. He tied it to the other finger and continued the game as nothing had happened. Medical staff doesn’t need the permission to enter the field and give the treatment to injured payer while game continues, because someone is always on the ground injured or unconscious.
